The visit formed part of a wider series of stakeholder meetings across Hong Kong and mainland China, led by CEO Philipp Assmus and COO Clémence Kopeikin.
On the panel “Innovation at Global Scale: From Intellectual Property to Impact Businesses”, COO Clémence Kopeikin joined Paulo Protásio, Claudia Jannuzzi and Ágatha Tommasi to introduce FyrstGen, alongside powerful efforts already underway in Brazil to rethink how innovation moves from intellectual property to real-world impact.

FyrstGen served on the three-member judging panel of the UFRJ Start-Up Competition, represented by COO Clémence Kopeikin. From more than 600 applications, a selected cohort completed months of mentorship before ten finalists competed for seed funding.
The winning venture works to improve accessibility and mapping for people with disabilities across Brazil — a reminder of what innovation is ultimately about: turning ideas into solutions that improve people’s lives.

The week closed with meetings with government stakeholders and innovation leaders on how FyrstGen can connect into Brazil’s broader innovation ecosystem — made possible by Ágatha Tommasi, one of the newest specialised advisors who recently joined the team.
On 17 August, CEO Philipp Assmus and COO Clémence Kopeikin, accompanied by Raj Vangapandu, Chief of Asia-Pacific Operations, met senior representatives of the Government of India.

The conversations centred on how FyrstGen can continue to grow its collaborations and engagement with Indian universities and national research institutes, preparing for a large number of innovation applications to the platform. India remains one of FyrstGen’s priority growth regions, following engagements with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and the Government of Andhra Pradesh over the past year.
FyrstGen Board Member Marco Marchesi spent a day in Vijayawada, India, engaging with leaders across academia, industry and the region’s rapidly developing innovation ecosystem.

Raj Vangapandu, FyrstGen’s Executive President of Asia Pacific Region, and his team in India took Marco to visit SRM University-AP, exploring its emerging quantum research and startup ecosystem.
The team closed the visit with a private dinner alongside some of FyrstGen’s valued innovators.
FyrstGen COO Clémence Kopeikin joined Hernando Francisco Chica Zuccardi, President of Banco Agrario de Colombia; Alicia Lozano Vila of the Alexander von Humboldt Institute; and Daniel López of Banco de Occidente for “Capital that Transforms: Finance for a Resilient and Sustainable Economy,” moderated by Ágatha Tommasi, FyrstGen’s Climate Action Specialist.
The discussion explored how AI, innovation and finance can accelerate sustainable impact. Clémence shared how FyrstGen is using AI to redefine the standards for company building and startup creation at scale, while de-risking innovation from its earliest stages — helping transform intellectual property and research into companies capable of real-world impact.

FyrstGen will attend AT ONE Impact Week at the Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre — a Well-being Economic Forum and Festival convening global leaders across impact, innovation and sustainable finance.
FyrstGen and PRME, an initiative of the UN Global Compact, host an information session on the “Launch the Future” Global Innovation Challenge — an opportunity for PRME Signatory institutions to submit market-ready, SDG-aligned innovations for free, outsourced IP commercialisation services, prizes of up to USD 50,000, and international visibility.
The session sets out who is eligible, which innovations can be submitted, how the FyrstGen platform works, and how Signatories can take part. It follows the May 2026 joint webinar, which drew participants from 15 countries across six regions.
FyrstGen will deliver a keynote at the principal annual gathering of PRME Signatory institutions across the LATAM and Caribbean region, hosted by ORT Business School, Universidad ORT Uruguay.
FyrstGen will take part in a Pacto Global Rede Brasil webinar introducing the network and its work in Brazil. Date TBC.
FyrstGen will participate in COP31, continuing its engagement on how new commercialisation infrastructure can accelerate the movement of climate-relevant intellectual property — across decarbonisation, clean energy, water management, waste reduction and circularity — from laboratories into companies and markets. Participation follows attendance at the Bonn Climate Change Conference (SB64) in June.
